Ole Jay McPenny used to write all day,
Drink all night, and sleep in the hay
He had no place to call his own
He had no money with which to pay
He stayed inside the farmer’s barn
Telling his stories–he could spin that yarn
The farmer caught his wife with poor ole Jay
And there wasn’t a thing Jay could say
